The project started when the owner began to seriously study coffee making. And decided to buy a coffee plantation on the mountain in Chiang Mai, where the owner has the idea of establishing an institution that specializes in coffee in particular with the hope of developing coffee beans in the country to be of international interest The location of the project is located in the owner’s Chiangmai high hill golf course. This area in the past was called “Panna Phu Lao”, so it was the origin of the brand called “Phu Panna”. The symbol of the project is a fish on it. A dish that has been discovered since ancient times. So take it as inspiration for the design. 3 fish images (representing the owner’s 3 childrens) that circulate in a cycle with the aim of making this symbol It is the meaning of the main concept of the project to bring the context of the community to the international level.
Architectural style and project overview It is plotted with a diamond pattern. to open the view and increase the walking distance to see different parts The building is divided into 4 main sections based on the programming of the project.
– The cafe is in the section that opens the view to Wells and coffee plantations that are landscaped showing various varieties of coffee trees that can be planted within the country.
– The laboratory section that is the production section Store seeds, roasters and laboratories.
– Academy section that will provide advanced coffee instruction
– accommodation for students and is a place for those who are interested.
The architecture and materials are selected which is designed to communicate the cultural context of the community. But deliberately designed to look like iconic architecture to attract people’s attention.
